Vark Learning Style

Vark Learning Style

Vark Learning Style - Kinesthenic. Being a Kinesthenic learner, I prefer to carry out practical exercises and learn from my own experiences. For example, when buying a phone, I would like to test it out first and make my own judgements before purchasing. Personally, I feel this will benefit me on my university course as I am going to be carrying out a lot of practical work e.g. putting systems together and programming etc.

On the other hand, my learning style that was the lowest on the scale was aural, meaning that I don't take as much information in when I am listening to a lecturer or participating in things such as group discussions. As I am a university student, most of my learning is done through listening to lecturers so this is something that I must improve in order to get the most out of my university experience. As well as this, I understand that there will be quite a lot of group work on my course so again, taking in information through speaking and listening is something I need to improve. To improve this aspect of my learning, I will try to get involved in lectures and group work more by answering questions and asking some myself as well. By doing this, I feel I will be more engaged which in turn should mean I take more information in.
